Manas Airport is located within the city limits. For over 30 years it has served as the gateway of Kyrgyzstan. The first plane landed there in 1974. That's when the history of civil aviation of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan began.
Today it links the country with dozens of countries - Turkey, China, Russia, Germany, USA, Uzbekistan, Britain, India, UAE, South Korea, Iran, Kazakhstan. The recent reconstruction of the airport has turned the airport into a modern, well equipped air hub with the comfortable terminal building where passengers can visit restaurants, cafes, shops, pharmacies, internet cafes, business and VIP-room, mother and child room, luggage storage, use ATMs, currency exchange, souvenir shops and much more.
